About Us :
In 1937 a group of 25 community leaders founded whathas become Statesboro’s oldest civic club; and with great excitement, the Rotary Club of Statesboro is celebrating 70years of commitment to the Rotary Ideal of “Service Above Self.” Our club is proud of its rich history of service, but our
focus is on the future as members work to improve thelives of citizens in our community and around the world through the projects and programs of Rotary.
This year the Rotary Club of Statesboro, comprised of 160 men and women, will build its fourth Habitat for Humanity Home. In addition, Rotary is a major supporter of the Boys and Girls Club, sponsors the CARE-ING program for our community’s homebound seniors, supports community literacy programs, as well as raising funds for Alzheimer’s research. Furthermore, through giving to the Rotary Foundation, local Rotarians change lives around the world through programs to eradicate polio, and to provide safe
water supplies in Third World countries.
“Lead the Way” is this year’s Rotary International theme. The Rotary Club of Statesboro is committed to “leading the way” through service to community, country and around the world for the next 70 years!
