History:

In 1935, St. John Bosco was incorporated into the Diocese of Ogdensburg as a parish, under the leadership of Father Euclid Elie.  An outdoor Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated on the Rufus Lamica farm since the church had not yet been constructed.  The financial constraints brought on by the Great Depression, and the poverty of the area did not allow for the church to be fully built for another 17 years!  In the meantime, the parishioners of St. John Bosco celebrated Mass in the finished basement of the Church.  After many prayers and much sacrificing, the entire building of the church was finished and was dedicated on June 15, 1952.
There are approximately 267 families in the parish of St. John Bosco.  It too, was brought into the Malone Catholic Parishes in 2003.
