Started as a mission parish through the generosity and hard work of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the groundbreaking for St. Maria Goretti occurred on July 6, 1995, the Feast of St. Maria Goretti. The first Mass at St. Maria Goretti was celebrated with Bishop William L.
