Our Mission:

Chronicle, protect and preserve the history and cultural heritage of the City of San Benito, Texas and surrounding communities;

Foster the promotion of the City's history and historical landmarks to residents, tourists, and other visitors;

Promote and protect the use of historic districts and landmarks for the education, pleasure and welfare of the people of the City of San Benito;

Develop and promote educational programs at all levels about the history and cultural heritage of San Benito;

Accept, maintain, preserve and display items pertaining to the history of San Benito and the surrounding area;

Purchase, lease, accept by gift or donation, or otherwise acquire, improve, construct, own, hold, use, maintain, operate, encounter, sell, exchange, or otherwise dispose or real and personal property of every kind, nature, or description, as may be necessary or desirable to promote the purpose of the Corporation.
