History:

Sea Park Elementary School is located in Satellite Beach just south of Patrick Air Force Base. The school was built in 1959 and is located on 12.5 acres in the center of a residential community. Over the past few years our demographics have changed. Our school's free and reduced lunch rate has dropped from 35% to 27%, the mobility rate has declined from 34% to 32%, and our minority rate has declined from 19% to 17%. There has been a change in our ESE population, an increase from 14% to 20% due to the addition of two Varying Exceptionalities classes and an EELP class. Our GSP population has declined from 13% to 8%. Our enrollment has steadily declined from 531 to 288. This is due to the demolition of the south housing area of Patrick Air Force Base and the fact that many of our families in the adjacent residential community are reaching retirement age. However, with 900 new homes planned for the south housing area of Patrick Air Force Base our school population will be impacted significantly over the next few years.
