Mission statement :
To enrich the lives of the Huron County senior citizens
Services for Aging, Inc. (dba Senior Enrichment Services) was established in 1972 and is certified by the State of Ohio as a "Not-For-Profit Corporation." The Corporation was designated by the Board of Huron County Commissioners as the agency to provide direct service to citizens age 60 and over in Huron County and contiguous areas. It was originally designed to help seniors stay independent and in their homes as long as possible. It has since grown into two multi-functional centers (in Norwalk and Willard) providing information, transportation, meals, chore assistance, and truly enriching and interesting activities for every senior in Huron County.
Senior Enrichment Services is funded by a Local Levy, a federal "Title III Grant" from the Older Americans Act, administered by the Ohio Department of Aging through the District 5 Area Agency on Aging. Other local funding comes from the Huron County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services, The United Fund of Norwalk and Willard and private and Corporate donations.
