Shadowood Farm, Inc. of Palm City, FL has recently switched gears from growing Native plants and ornamentals, to providing people with a place to grow their own organic foods.

The Shadowood Organic Food Garden opened in October of 2010 and the response has been wonderful. Our members all share the desire to learn how to produce their own fresh, organic food and most come to the farm to be active participants. The growing experience is shared in a hands-on environment, with member meetings, supervised hours and weekly newsletters. People also have the option of having their spaces maintained for them and coming only to harvest or local delivery is also available.

Unlike traditional CSA's, all Shadowood Food Gardeners choose what they want to grow in their own spaces. Most SOFG members plant, grow and maintain their own spaces, but we do offer a service to maintain spaces for those who want fresh food but are too busy to spend the time growing it themselves. Weekly Delivery service is also available. You can either rent a garden space and grow your own food, have us grow it for you or establish a Seasonal Membership so you can buy from our gardeners.
