Solid Rock Community Church exists to reflect God’s Glory by pointing people to Jesus through our words and actions

ABOUT

Solid Rock began by the joining of two separate congregations together to form one new church. One church had a building, but no pastor. The other church had a pastor but no building. It was a good fit and God was in it. Randy Harp was the pastor at that time. Pastor Randy led through the transition and through the years challenged the church to seek new ways to reach out the community. God blessed and the church grew and continued to grow. Through the years the church also had other staff: Craig Dockery, Noell Bohms, and Sean Adkins.   

Just like it's neighboring city Flint, Solid Rock has seen it's ups and downs and many changes. Randy Harp concluded his ministry with Solid Rock in the summer of 2012. Don Chapin was called to be the new Lead Pastor at the beginning of 2013. In the spring of 2014 Solid Rock Baptist Church changed their name to Solid Rock Community Church.

God is faithful and Solid Rock continues to be a place of hope and help for those who seek it. A place where God is worshiped and the name of Jesus is exalted. We are continuing to grow both spiritually and in number.   

Solid Rock is a family...
