The basic mission for Southern Middle School is to prepare students for success in a post-secondary or college preparatory-level curriculum. We realize that all students need a challenging, interactive curriculum that teachers strategies in reading critically, writing effectively, and solving problems. This curriculum should also promote working cooperatively, infuse and integrate technology, and allow extra help in all curricular areas. Character education, career preparation and transitioning to the high school are incorporated within our daily framework.

We believe all students can achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.
