Space Coast Fieros is a group of individuals who joined together in November 1994 for the reason of maintaining, or if at all possible, improving on the short lived mid-engine American car. After five years, we are still working with that goal in mind and also at the same time - Having Fun!!
By working on the cars, it gives us the opportunity of being able to play with a minimum of worry about breaking down.
We try to get together once a month, either for a technical session, road trip, party or any other excuse that comes to mind.
Some examples of what we have learned - Coming up with a better ways to change the dew wipes without taking the whole door apart; installing bigger and better engines (within our group we have V-8s, 3800s and even 3.4 modified cars); we've done brake conversions for cheaper but better brakes; and placed vents on the front hood to help cool the engine better, and more.
On the cosmetic side of the house, there are many members who have gone to great lengths to make there cars look even better, such as: adding scoops, new paint colors and/or schemes, different wheels, new body styles or whatever pleases that particular member.
We have been known to do road trips, running from the Space Coast to as far away as Rockville, MD or Nashville, TN. It's always more enjoyable to travel with a group. At the same time, we like to take off within the state for short runs to visit other Fiero clubs (Palm Beach, Sun Coast, Daytona, Orlando and the Gulf Coast).
Also, we like to participate in car shows. Right now we are working with other Fiero clubs in Florida, in putting together the Florida Fiero Weekend at Daytona.
