Spring Garden Elementary is committed to using a staff-directed, recursive process of school improvement. This process emphasizes consistency across grade levels using best practices to enhance student achievement in all areas.
The mission of the Spring Garden Elementary School is to ensure that all students will become responsible and productive citizens by mastering a continuously challenging curriculum supported by a strong school and community partnership.
We will identify the information important to know and be able to do in each grade level and help each student achieve the assessment limits of the Voluntary State Curriculum.
We will ensure that all students achieve the intended outcomes of the curriculum through collaboration and addressing their individual needs and learning styles.
We will help all students achieve to the best of their ability by upholding high expectations for all students using differentiated instruction and student-owned goals to drive instruction.
We will treat all students and staff members with respect and provide consistent discipline; guidance with incentives for positive behavior (Slam Dunk); and a safe and orderly environment.
We will help all students develop the ability to make good decisions independently.
We will relate to students on a personal level by being aware of their interests, strengths, and needs.
