Springdale Baptist Church of Ripley, Mississippi, was organized on October 15, 1961. The church has employed seven pastors since its founding. The eighth and present pastor, Randy Joe Hamilton, has served the church for approximately four years. The church is affiliated with the Benton-Tippah Baptist Association, the Mississippi Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The church is composed of senior adults, middle age adults, young adults, youth, and children. The Sunday School’s average attendance is 225 with an enrollment of 463. Both Sunday morning worship services average a total attendance of 310 people. The resident membership of the church is about 599 people. In 1998, the average attendance in Sunday School was 67 people. In 1999, it lowered to 65. In 2000, it increased drastically to 204. In 2001, the average attendance grew to 245. The church grew substantially in the last three and a half years since the current pastor came to the church. The church is located in North East Mississippi, approximately 75 miles from Memphis, TN., about 60 miles to Oxford, MS. (home of the University of Mississippi)., 25 miles from Corinth, MS., 20 miles from Booneville, MS. (home of Northeast Community College), and 6 miles from Blue Mountain, MS. (the home of Blue Mountain College).
