St. John's Reformed Church is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America--the oldest Protestant denomination with a continuous history in the United States (1628). We are a "mainline" church, perhaps best described as "Dutch Presbyterians", although we recently lost the ethnic stereotype.
This congregation has served the area since the earliest German settlers arrived (possibly as early as 1725). The church was officially organized in 1770, and we now use a building constructed in 1881. With the addition of an education wing in 1950, we are blessed with a fine facility to support the work of the church.
