St. Patrick's began in 1981 as a mission of two Columbus congregations (St. Mark's, Upper Arlington and St. John's, Worthington). Under the leadership of the Rev. Don Peterson, the Church grew from meeting in a small rented room in the Dublin Community Church, to a larger community meeting in Sells Middle School, and finally to a Church in need of a building. In 1987, land was purchased and the first building (now our parish hall and offices) was erected.
On the night ground was broken for the first building, Don Peterson suffered a stroke. Yet, thanks to God the Church survived this tragic news, as did Don. Leadership was passed on to the Rev. Anne Robbins, who led the Church through a period of growth and the building of our current sanctuary.
The Rev. Stephen Smith was called as rector in October 2003, and a program of goal development and Church growth was begun.
