Our Club is one of the newest in the Stanford family, having been founded in October 2005. In the beginning we were surprised by the large number of "Stanfordites" residing in the Coachilla Valley...but then why not? Stanford folk are rather astute so why wouldn't there be large numbers of us in this place we refer to as "Shangri-la".

We are a diverse group...married, in partnerships, single...of course lots of us have kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, etc. Many of us moved here to retire but there are also those of us still into the medical, legal, real estate and other professions. Of course, one big attraction is "GOLF" and many of us live in homes which seem to meld into world famous golf courses but all of us live where we are surrounded by majestic mountain ranges on all sides.

Because we are so diverse, we strive to plan activities that will cater to all our individual interests...sporting events, cultural outings, speaker programs, just fun parties (remember back in the "good-ol' days!"), etc...etc. One thing we specifically excluded from our goals was fund raising so you need not worry about your pocketbook.
