Introducing Sunny Slope Farm, 10 miles east of Beatrice, NE. As of February, we are in the midst of marketing our 2011 CSA shares. We also offer on-farm sales as well as selling at the Beatrice Farmers' Market on Thursdays (June to Sept). Our products include a broad variety of vegetables, as well as strawberries, honey and free-range eggs. We market a limited number of pastured broilers and turkeys ---- This sustainably managed farm started in July 2007. Our produce is raised without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, using organic management techniques. We milk a Jersey cow. Our orchard, planted 07-08, is showing signs of first fruits. Our first grass-finished beef last year was very good, and we will have 3 more animals available for purchase (quarters/halves) in late summer.

Call or email if you'd like to be on our email list for on-farm produce, or to inquire about shares for 2011 CSA season). This season we offer 30 shares. We provide about $20 (Farmers' Market value) of produce weekly in each full share. CSA Offerings this year include Spring greens, wide variety of vegetables, strawberries, eggs, "etc." All products are grown without chemical herbicides, pesticides, or antibiotics. We welcome and encourage hands-on participation, and will provide appropriate discounts to those who take advantage of this. While we encourage members to pick up on farm, we also are willing to work with delivery arrangements for Beatrice members. We welcome new members to help us build this exciting business, with your purchases, your hands-on involvement, and your advice and feedback.
