This church is filled with people just like you – dealing with the problems of life, but looking for something better. From the weakest to the strongest, we see ourselves as a community taking steps toward God, and believing that He rewards those who look for Him.

Our Purposes:

Our Church focuses on these five core ingredients for greatness in life. They’re the five spiritual food groups that will lead us to flourish as individuals and as a church family.

In the summer of 2004, the pastors met with a diverse group of lay leaders in our church: the young and the “mature” (or chronologically gifted), the First Lighters and the OpenDoor attenders, the religious right and the religious left : ) , the republican and the democrats… okay, we didn’t really break it down that far, but you get the picture. We had a great time together in our handful of meetings,eating dinner, reading Scripture, praying and sharing dreams of what God might be able to do in our church—doesn’t that sound like what they did back in the book of Acts chapter two?

Our new paradigm spells out the word GRACE—because Grace is the foundation and the inspiration for everything we do in the Christian life. Grace can be described as unmerited favor or unconditional love. That means no matter what good things you might do, God couldn’t love you any more than He already does. And no matter what bad things you do, God couldn’t love you any less. Because the Bible teaches that when we were at our worst, God sent His best. He sent His son to reach us, and teach us and save us. All our worship and service and growth pours forth from a heart of gratitude and love for what God has already done for us.
