The Sylacauga Civitans are a group of volunteers who are seeking ways to better our community with an emphasis on helping disabled children and adults.

Mission

The mission of Civitan worldwide is to build good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities.

Overview

Our service projects have included, assisting the ARC in various ways, handicap ramp builds, collecting food for the CARE house, assembling flood relief buckets, organizing an annual Autism Walk, plus many more.

Meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.

Meeting place is at the Hickory St Cafe in the CVMC cafeteria. Meeting time is from 12 noon until 1 PM.
