Tesago Elementary School is one of seven elementary schools in the Shenendehowa Central School District.
We are located in the Town of Clifton Park, in southern Saratoga County, a suburban community within twenty miles of the cities of Albany, Troy, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs. Tesago's students reside in the Towns of Clifton Park, Town of Halfmoon, Town of Waterford and Town of Rexford.
Opened in 1967, Tesago today houses over 730 students in kindergarten through grade five.
Our kindergarten is a half-day program. The instructional program for elementary students includes language arts (reading, writing, spelling, listening and speaking), mathematics, social studies, science, health, physical education, art, and music.
Through the active involvement of our PTA, parents and community members share their time and expertise through classroom visits and volunteering at school functions. A wonderful "Arts In Education" program provides opportunities for students to visit area theaters and museums, and brings many cultural and educational programs to our school. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Department provides an officer who presents the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program to our fifth graders.
