About Us:
Paul Henderson has been involved with IDPA for more than 12 years and competed both nationally and internationally. He retired from the US Air Force and is still actively involved in his community today.
With 8 years as an IDPA and USPSA Champion Shooter, he started Texas Mad Dogs in 2010 with the intent of bringing DFW shooters practical training for day-to-day concealed carry.
Paul currently trains Johnson and Ellis County Sheriff Deputy's as well as Concealed Carry Licensee's (CHL) using all live-fire training exercises. Paul provides a safe educational environment for shooters to meet and train for family fun.
Texas Mad Dogs has some very notable members including current and former Law Enforcement Officers and US / International Military members (active and retired) with years of professional and Semi Professional experience. Don't let the name of our group put you off (it's all in fun).
Bring your handgun skills to the next level, solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios, using practical handguns and holsters that are suitable for self-defense use. Ask about 3 gun shooting using rifle, shotgun, and pistol skills. Check out the "night shooting" course!
Texas Mad Dogs are more than just shooters; we all become friends and extended family.
