About Us:
The Bainbridge-Decatur County Council for the Arts, Inc. was created in June of 1992. Thousands of dollars were donated by local citizens and businesses for the renovation of the firehouse complex which would be the future home of the Arts Council. The building, which includes the firehouse and the public safety building, was purchased from the City of Bainbridge in March of 1995. Since then, The Firehouse Center and Gallery has become a multi-use facility reflecting the compound nature of the community. It is used for exhibits, concerts, meetings, lectures, and other activities.

On February 26, 2007, the Firehouse Center and Gallery reopened after a $1 million renovation.See a 1 minute video of some of the space.
