The Church of Joy is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led fellowship affiliated with the Church Foundational Network (CFN). We are a unique blend of different ages, races, and backgrounds coming together to worship Jesus Christ.

We are a unique blend of different ages, races, and backgrounds coming together to worship Jesus Christ. Joy is a non-denominational fellowship, affiliated with the Church Foundational Network.

The Church of Joy began in 1979 with 3 families in the home of Lee and Marion Ungemach. Shortly after the church was started, these families moved to a small cabin, owned by Bryan and Carolyn Whitehurst, just south of Highway 362 in Spalding County. Little did they know, several families would soon join their small fellowship.

In October 1981, 5 acres of land were purchased at 754 Hwy 362 (our present location) to construct a Sanctuary.

Today, The Church of Joy is proud to celebrate over 20 years of successful, spirit filled ministry to the people of our community and beyond.

August 1999, Ron, Betsy, and Lilli Laney were set-in as the Pastors of The Church of Joy, since that time the fellowship has experienced tremendous growth and a renewed passion for the Kingdom of God.
