Our CSA boxes are as diverse as the season allows. Along with vegetables, we do include berries, apples, and melons in the boxes and will be including other fruit as we can get those crops established. Our 2009 season members experienced 30+ varieties of produce, and 2010 should expand even further. Large shares typically have some items not included in the small shares. Specialty shares of berries, apples, vegetables for canning, and eggs are now available.

We consider all of our customers as part of the family, and they have an open invitation to come see The Farm. If you wish to visit, please call to schedule, which will allow me to give you quality time while you are here.

The story of The Farm started with my maternal grandfather, who began farming this land outside of Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1945, and spent the next 40 years of his life raising livestock and crops here. In the late 1960's, I was blessed to spend a summer here with my grandfather, working this soil. It is here that I fell in love with farming, and in 2000, I was again called home to The Farm. We spent the next few years in small-scale trails and tests. In 2009, we ramped into the market with the introduction of a new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and began the process of organic certification. We take a lot of pride in the fruits and vegetables we grow. Organic certification is a 3+ year process, so we are in a stage known as "transitional".

Members shares are available any time after 10am on Tuesdays when the co-op opens. They hold the boxes there until the end of the day. Any boxes left longer than a day get donated to the local food shelf. They will hold your last week's empty boxes for us to pick up.
