The CEC, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to support cultural activities in the Town of Harwich and to raise funds for the interior renovations of two of Harwich's under-utilized historic buildings (both built in 1871) which are proposed for cultural centers. If all goes well, historically accurate exterior renovations of the two buildings will begin in June, 2007 in conjunction with affordable housing. The renovations will not only change the face of these buildings, but will put them back into productive use.

The needs for funds are for elevators for handicapped access, security system, furnishings, display cases, computer, WiFi connection, and for ongoing maintenance and operations and program management.
