About Us:
The New York Conservatory for the Arts (NYCA) and all projects offered at NYCA are projects of the Pan American Dance Foundation, a Non-Profit organization dedicated to the cultivation and appreciation of dance and the related arts of music and theatre.
Established in 1986 in Hurley, New York between Kingston and Woodstock, NYCA offers a Music Theatre Performing Arts curriculum educating children ages 4 through adults in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Voice, Acting and Theatre Arts.
Performances are presented throughout the year by several NYCA theatre groups: a Repertory Company, a Student Theatre Company, a Theatre for Children by Children Company, and a combined NYCA Theatre Company presenting highly acclaimed theatrical presentations.
Summer Arts Workshop programs fill the months of July and August with Special Performance and Education opportunities for teens and children 7 & up in a Day Camp setting in the Catskill Forest Preserve; a National /International Touring Song & Dance 'Troupe' is offered for advanced students ages 12 & up.
NYCA programs and theatre presentations continue to train and showcase top-notch talent of students and adult performers whose careers have moved on to include performing and technical work on Broadway, Television, Film, Theme Parks, Touring Companies and the Top College Performing Arts Programs in the Nation.
