Our Beliefs:

It is absolutely essential that every Christian understand the basic doctrines of Christianity. These principles form a foundation for further building.

Our History:

The North Church was founded by Lawrence and Coral Kennedy in April of 1989. The church began as weekly Bible studies held in North Dallas hotels. Our first regular service was held on April 30, 1989, with over 1,000 in attendance. In the following eighteen months the congregation grew to over 2,300 people attending three weekend services weekly. Our explosive growth quickly made the building on I-35E and Sandy Lake Road obsolete in the first year.

By 1991, God had enabled our young congregation to raise over $1.5million in cash and bonds to buy and renovate the present 87,000 square foot building. As our growth continued, we began two morning services each Sunday on our sixth anniversary. Since then we have grown to over 4,000 members. Our CARE groups have flourished throughout the Metroplex. In addition, many specialized ministries have developed.

In 1999 we opened our Complex with gym, workout facilities, kitchen, coffee bar, and classroom space. The most exciting part of our history is the thousands of people who have been saved and healed; and hundreds of marriages that have been restored and families that have been reunited.
