Mission:

The Roeper Recipe: Start with one gifted student in pre-kindergarten to 12th grade.

Combine with other gifted students of diverse races, points of view, religions and backgrounds.

Add teachers who are passionate about their profession, who understand the characteristics and intensities of gifted children, who embrace the value of authentic relationships with students and who treat them as intellectual partners.

Leaven with the Roeper Philosophy, which affirms that following our passions is the best way to learn; that we must find and use our own voice and that we take responsibility for our own learning. The Roeper Philosophy teaches that each of us deserves respect and must offer respect to others and that we must understand and contribute to our community and the world around us to live meaningful lives.

Let riseb - intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically - in a safe environment with rigorous and responsive education, strong relationships, insistence on accepting others, opportunity to choose and to learn to make good choices, expectation to excel and demand for honest self-evaluation.

Bake with care, checking often for progress, with the understanding that the student will never be done learning, but will be ready to face the next challenge. The results and the education will be different and uniquely fulfilling for every gifted child.
