The Shepherd's Way Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit Charitable Christian Organization.
Our Mission is to restore broken lives The Shepherd's Way.
"Jesus came to bind up the broken hearted, to set the captives free and to open the prison to them that are bound." Isaiah 61:1
Our purpose is to visit those in jail and prison and share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, we teach the Bible and its application to everyday life. We provide Bibles, Christian books and tracts for inspiration and encouragement.
Also we are raising funds to provide a home called:
The Shepherd's Way Home on a Farm
The vision is a home with a Christian atmosphere to continue ministry to these women when they are released. The Lord gave Shirley the vision to have a home for women when released from jail. Some are homeless and others return to situations that are abusive compelling them to go back to their old ways.
About Us
Founders of The Shepherd's Way Ministries, Inc.
Dale and Shirley McNeall started in prison and jail ministry in 1992 with the Christian Motorcyclists Association, taking motorcycles into prisons with Bill Glass Prison Ministry from Texas. After this experience, God placed a call on their lives to go into prisons and jails to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for the inmates.
They have ministered to inmates at weekend events with Bill Glass
Prison Ministry, Prison Fellowship, Christian Motorcyclists Association and Salvation Army. They have a team of people who ministered with them at Municipal Correctional Institution (Kansas City MCI Jail) for 17 years and Integrity Correctional Centers until it closed in 2010. Jackson County took over Kansas City jail and moved the inmates to a jail downtown Kansas City. The team now ministers there.
They graduated from Victory Bible Institution at Tulsa, Ok. After
completing one year of Bible training.
While ministering at Kansas City MCI, Dale and Shirley became aware that about 85% of the inmates were repeat offenders
The Lord gave Shirley the vision to have a home for women when released from jail. Some of these women are homeless and others return to situations that are abusive, compelling them to go back to their old ways. As a result, Dale and Shirley formed, The Shepherd's Way Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, to help these women and to continue ministry to both the men and women in jail.
Our Objective
· To facilitate rehabilitation to prevent repeated criminal activity with instruction and practical demonstration of a better way of life.
· To give them hope, and a future, so they can enter into a new and productive social role.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
· When we have a home we will continue ministry to women who come out of jail, by providing a temporary home with an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and hope for those who choose of their own free will to come and be helped. We want to offer them a chance for a new beginning.
Our programs at Home entail mandatory spiritual programming as well as counseling, education and life skills.

Cathy Linzie - Boardmember of The Shepherd's Way Ministries.
I have lived in Belton for almost 20 years. Have two wonderful adult children and 6 precious grandchildren. Although I have worked in the hospitality industry since high school, I recently left there and took a position at The View - Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Grandview. Working too many hours and not being available for my grandchildren and what God wanted me to do, I knew that God wanted me to make some changes in my life. He placed a dream in my heart over 20 years ago about helping women in abusive relationships to learn that there is hope and that the Lord can bring restoration. I never really thought about prison ministry until through God's plan I met Shirley and we found that our dreams of what God wanted to do were closely related. I wanted to see women freed from the bondage of abuse and shattered lives with God's amazing love, but didn't connect with the "prison" aspect of Shirley's ministry. One of the board members said, "These women are in bondage too!" I felt the Lord was telling me to get involved and see what He could do! Had I not listened, I would have missed the opportunity to get to know Shirley, visit women in prison, and be a part of The Shepherd's Way Ministries. God has great things planned through this organization and I want to be a part of it.
Kurt Roberts-Board member of the The Shepherd's Way Ministries Board of Directors. Me and my wife Crystal have been married 10 years and are raising our two children in Lee's Summit, MO. I am a career insurance agent with Farm Bureau Insurance. I love to teach children at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Overland Park, KS -where we've been connected for over 10yrs. After hearing Shirley talk at a Chamber of Commerce meeting, I just knew God was calling me to get involved with The Shepherd's Way Ministries and serve.
Shelley Day has been a Probation & Parole Officer with the state of Missouri for over 15 years. She and her husband, Randy has three children and eight grandchildren. Shelley first realized the need for more women's services while supervising females at a residential facility in Kansas City. Over the years she has witnessed more and more programs and services for women being lost due to budgets and lack of information being available to the community regarding this need. Placement for women in supportive environments, along with having individuals who care and uplift them is essential to rebuilding their lives. So when Shepherd's Way Ministries was introduced to her, she felt drawn to be a part of this organization who was working to provide not only a supportive shelter and home but make a difference in the lives of women being released from jail or prison. Shelley would encourage all with an interest to become a part of this richly blessed group of individuals who are making a difference in the lives of those who have been incarcerate.
