Our primary goal is to provide the instructional leadership necessary to establish and maintain a student-centered environment and to foster positive relations with teachers, parents, students and staff that will support student achievement. We must all work together to achieve these goals.

To establish this goal, We believe in holding high expectations for ourself and staff as well as utilizing open communication. We believe in the holistic power of valuing one another and putting away differences to achieve a common goal. Let us build on the success of Bowe School.

History:

The Thomas E. Bowe School is a traditional elementary school for grades 4-6. It is one of the few elementary schools nationwide that supports the Renaissance Program and is therefore a RENAISSANCE SCHOOL. It was built in 1972 and was named after Thomas E. Bowe, a lifelong resident of Glassboro and an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Glassboro Board of Education from 1947-1973, serving as President from 1957-1971. He resigned from the Board of Education to become the coordinator of transportation and maintenance for the Glassboro Public

School System. He served in this position from 1974 until his retirement in 1984. He thus served the Glassboro Public School System a total of 36 years.

Mr. Bowe had many qualities that made him stand out as a leader and visionary. In honor of him, Mr. Walter Vail, a Glassboro School.
