The Town of Tar Heel Government consist of a Mayor / Council Government.  The Mayor and the Town Council are elected by the citizens of the Town and serve a 2 year term.   The most recent Election was in Nov. 2009.

The Town Council regular meeting is on the 1 Tuesday night of each month at the Town Hall.  7 30 pm
