"Hear what our Lord Jesus Christ saith: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." --The Book of Common Prayer.
We uphold the classical, traditional understanding of Christian faith and order as expressed in the historic Creeds and the Book of Common Prayer of The Episcopal Church.
We worship the One God as revealed through Scripture in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in accordance with the doctrine of the Holy Trinity of God as defined by the ancient universal Councils.
We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine, who became incarnate, lived, died, and rose again for us in accordance with Scripture.
Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, is the full and sufficient revelation of God as testified to by the Old and New Testaments, and we commit ourselves to be witnesses for Jesus to all people.
We proclaim Jesus Christ as the incarnate Word and only Son of God, Holy Scripture as the revealed Word of God, and Christian Witness as the proclaimed Word of God.
We are committed to confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to following Him, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, conforming our lives to his example and teaching as set forth in Holy Scripture.
Scripture tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Christians must always keep in mind their own struggle with sin, maintain a humbly repentant attitude before God, and strive toward holiness of life.
Jesus Christ demands of us nothing less than a total commitment of ourselves, our lives and resources, in a living relationship with Him, with the Father, with the Holy Spirit, and with each other by God's indwelling presence and power.
The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, and contain all things necessary to salvation. The historic teachings of the Church enlighten us as to Scripture's meaning. We commit ourselves and also encourage others to regular Bible study and to preaching and teaching the Apostolic Faith as part of our witness to the saving power of Jesus Christ.
The Biblical social commandments and Christian ethical principles, as compassionately taught by Our Lord and Holy Scripture, are foundational to the well being of the Church and society, and we pledge ourselves to seeking ways of expressing them in our own lives and in the life of our congregation and the secular community.
We promise to warmly extend the welcome of the Church and the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.
We support all our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world, especially those who live under persecution, in their struggle to live and minister in accord with Holy Scripture and Christian conscience.
