Trinity began in 1904 as First Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church. In the late 20’s, the congregation switched from the use of Swedish to English to serve the changing needs of the community establishing a pattern of community service that remains to this day.

Theologically, our roots reach back to the earliest days of the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther inaugurated the first successful reform of the Roman Catholic church of the early 16th century and, because of this, is considered the father of the Reformation. 

Although we are a traditional church theologically, we are a contemporary church when it comes to practice. Our worship styles range from rock-influenced to reflective of the very best elements of historical liturgy. Our main worship space has recently been renovated to include state-of-the-art sound, light and video capabilities to equip us to meet a wide range of worship styles and preferences.

We remain involved in bringing God’s love in Jesus to our community through a daily afternoon program, monthly food distribution and senior’s programs and a partnership with the Every Neighborhood Partnership to provide home renovation and repair work to our neighbors. 

Our mission is to lead people into the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. Our aim in all we do is to make life-changing differences in the lives of the people around us by sharing Christ’s love in practical ways. Since 1904, that’s who we’ve been and always want to be!
