History
Built in 1896 as a Parish House for the nearby Unitarian Church, Unity Hall was heralded at its dedication as "the center of the best social and intellectual adjuncts of the moral and religious life of the community". In short time Unity Hall became a cultural and community center shared by the church with other groups from Barneveld and surrounding villages.
Just prior to the hall's 100th anniversary in 1995, the Unitarian Church granted the Unity Hall Foundation a 25 year lease on the building.
An historical landmark in a village blessed with many, Unity Hall underwent a complete renovation with the goal of preserving its heritage while making it more comfortable and useable. As a result of the hard work and generosity of so many members of the community, today Unity Hall is beautifully restored and playing host to a wide range of public and private activities and events.
