Valley Heights Public Schools is a rural district located in southwestern Marshall County in northeastern Kansas, 40 miles north of Manhattan, Kansas. Valley Heights was organized in 1966 during the State Unification Act. Valley Heights was formed from the communities of Blue Rapids and Waterville, Kansas.
The district operates two elementary schools, located in each community and a single Jr-Sr High School, located between the two communities on US Highway 77. The district also operates a preschool located in Waterville. Valley Heights has an enrollment of 400 students this year, which rates the district as a class 2A school in Kansas.
