Verona Area Performing Arts Series
About Us:
The Verona Area Performing Arts Series presented its first concert in July, 1998, and followed with its first concert series in January 1999. We now enter our eighth season with what we consider to be one of our finest. Our mission is to provide varied cultural and performing programs in music, dance, and drama within our community. We strive to present a series of high quality entertainment from across our nation. VAPAS also supports education in the arts in our area schools, and often contracts with our visiting artists to conduct a clinic for students prior to their concert. Last year the Dallas Brass presented a clinic for the Badger Ridge Middle School band (pictures shown here) and this year the All American Boys Chorus will present an educational and entertaining clinic for the members of the Middle Schools choirs in the afternoon, and then these choirs will sing two numbers with the Chorus in the evening concert.
Our series would not be possible without the generous support of many individuals, businesses and corporations in our community. We thank each of them for their support. As a volunteer organization, we welcome your comments and suggestions for future shows. We hope you enjoy each of our shows.
