The Verona Ice Arena (Formerly Eagles Nest) is a Non-Profit facility that is operated by ICE Inc. (a volunteer Board of Directors) and is managed by current Verona High School Head Coach; Joel Marshall. Verona Ice is one of the finer ice facilities in the state.
Built in 1994, Verona Ice Arena has an Olympic sized ice sheet, seating for 900 spectators in permanent bleachers, heated mezzanine overlooking the ice (added on 1997), 4 large general purpose locker rooms, 2 locker room facility for Verona HS Team (added 2003), Polar Sports (a year round pro shop), and concession area.
The arena serves all age groups from youths to seniors. Programs are provided in a variety of skill level from the Youth Hockey Leagues and the Learn to Skate program to our 50+ Senior Skating. The Ice Arena is the center of ice sport activity in the Southern Dane County area.
It is the home of the 2014 State Champion Verona Area High School Hockey Program, Verona Wildcats Youth Hockey, Wisconsin Ice Spirit Girls hockey, and the Jr Jets Spring Hockey Programs.
The arena is open 12 months a year and easily has over 300,000 spectators and participants every year.
