What We Believe

The Scripture inspired:

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

The One True God:

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

History:
A meeting was held on August 17,1996, at the East Palatka Community Club building, to discuss the planting of a new church under the direction of Pastor Ben Tippett.  After considerable prayer, a decision was made to do so, and the name Victory Christian Fellowship was chosen.  The articles of incorporation were filed with the State of Florida as a non-profit corporation; certificate was granted, dated September 3, 1996.

The first public service was held on Sunday, October 6, 1996 with 17 people present.

By the end of the first full year (1997) there were 30 members with an average attendance of 45.  Since then the church has enjoyed a gradual and steady growth in membership.  The church began with a strong emphasis on mission support, which continues to this day.

In December of 1997 a 5.5 acre piece of property was purchased along highway 17 in San Mateo.  A year later, the church leased a 40 x 70 modular building as an interim plan to accommodate the growing fellowship.  We are now housed in our 11,500 square foot multi-purpose building, which will seat over 300 people, plus provides classrooms, offices and fellowship space.  Future plans call for a new sanctuary, which will seat over 600 people.

In September 2002 the church purchased an additional 3.2 acres with a house adjacent to the present property.  This gives us a total of 8.7 acres.  The house after renovations serves as our Fellowship Hall and Youth Facility.
