Mission:

Fidel and Mariano Rubio started the orphanage in their home about 18 years ago. A local doctor gave them a larger house with some rundown buildings in Chihuahua. This was their first expansion. Fidel later raised the money to buy what he calls the 'ranch' property. It is about six or seven acres on the outskirts of town. Here they renovated some old bunkhouses into quarters for the children. Through hard work and much faith they now have buildings to house approximately 160 children. However, they keep the number around 100 simply because that is all they can feed with the amounts of money they feel they can depend on. The children are ages 3 to 18. The Chihuahua authorities know that they will take on the very toughest cases so a lot of teens who are either orphaned or abandoned because of behavioral problems are sent to the orphanage. Victory Christian Fellowship has been supporting this orphanage for three years.

Theresa Cox, originally from Kansas, went to D.R.Congo in 2003, as a missionary and opened this home in 2004. She cares for approximately thirty boys who were living on the streets prior to her coming. The boys did not know their birthdays, and did not have consistent meals or education. Many of the boys' families have abandoned them. Theresa provides a school to further their education, a home with beds, consistent meals, daily teaching about the love of God, and the love a mother, which some of the boys had never experienced before.

Theresa visited our church school in 2004 and spoke to the children about her boys in Africa. Since then, the children have been praying daily for Theresa and the boys. Each child has a specific boy to pray for. Please pray that the electricity will be available to the home every day. The home only has running water a few hours a day, please pray that the water that they receive will be sufficient for their needs. Also pray that Theresa will have favor with the police in Congo.

Bobby and Noemi Pino, pastors of Independent Assemblies Fellowship in the Philippines have four children. They reach out to their community through various outreaches. They are the founders of a two-year bible college on their island. In 2004 there were twenty-eight graduates. They also have a Mountain School Outreach; the graduates from the bible college and local pastors conduct crusades in Elementary and High Schools on their island. Many people have come for prayer and have received miracles of healing. The Kids Care Mission program provides funds to send children to school. This gives the church a chance to reach out to the students and family with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. This program is continually growing and also needs more funding; please pray for this need to be met. We had the privilege of hearing Bobby and Noemi speak when they visited our church in 2004,

Through Mercy Smiles International, we support Charles,his wife, and his three daughters. Charles was born in a Christian family and was brought up in the Christian faith, but he was living his own life away from God. When his father suddenly died, Charles began thinking about where he would spend eternity. His mother had been praying for his salvation, and soon Charles asked his mother to have him baptized. In 1985 he was baptized and anointed with the Holy Spirit. Charles is now working full-time as an evangelist/worker in India, passing out tracks, preaching on the streets, and doing Church Ministry.
