The Village of Pulaski is a rural community in upstate New York, along the banks of the famous Salmon River. The latest Census of 2000 reports a population of 2,398 residents in 1,034 households. The Village was named in 1820 after General Count Casimir Pulaski, a Polish revolutionary and aide to General Washington.  Pulaski incorporated on April 26, 1832.

The Village of Pulaski has been a fortunate beneficiary of the John Ben Snow Foundation for many years.  J.B. Snow was born in Pulaski, N.Y. on June 16, 1883.  Snow dedicated his life to giving to educational, religious, scientific, and community causes in central New York, especially the Village of Pulaski. His selfless generosity was responsible for the constuction of the Snow Memorial Building (SMB) at 4917 Jefferson Street.  The SMB houses the Offices of the Mayor, Village Clerk, Justice Court and Police Department along with the Public Library.
