Both the High School and Grade School are consistently high scorers on the State achievement tests. St. Joseph is also close to larger communities, such as Champaign and Urbana. Interstate 74 is on the north edge of St. Joseph and Interstates 72 and 57 are 15 minutes away. There is a regional airport as well as national train service within 20 minutes of the Village. The Village is a very safe community with a low to non-existent crime rate.
