The Village of Stockbridge was founded in 1835 and incorporated in 1889.  The Village of Stockbridge is incorporated as a General Law Village with a Council/Manager form of government.

The Village of Stockbridge is placed snuggly between Lansing, home of the MSU Spartans and our State's Capital, and Ann Arbor home of the U of M Wolverines.
