Our Vision:
Welcome to Vista Christian Fellowship. We are a "Market Place Ministry". In recognition of II Corinthians 5:17-19 each of us, as new creatures in Christ are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God with Jesus' ministry of reconciliation. Our church services reflect both this truth and Ephesians 4:12 in preparing each of us for "the work of the ministry." Sunday morning services follow this theme, primarily through the preaching/teaching of our Pastor Roger Friend. He has been serving as Senior Pastor of Vista Christian Fellowship for 28 years and has degrees from San Diego State University and the American Baptist Seminary of the West. In 1979 he united with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel receiving awards and being ordained by both Christian Organizations.
Our Wednesday Night Discipleship classes follow these two Scriptural truths, preparing Christians both with knowledge and practical application for Market Place Ministry. Then, on Friday Nights, our multicultural, bilingual services with Victory Outreach present Market Place Ministry in action through the breaking down of cultural walls and witnessing many people saved, delivered and built up through various ministry gifts
Each of these services, along with our Men's, Women's, Children and Youth ministries and our Thursday morning Men's and Women's Bible study/Prayer Meetings promote the "equipping of the Saints" for Market Place ministry. As a result, Vista Christian Fellowship members are involved in prison ministries, street evangelism, neighborhood home study outreaches and overseas ministries to Africa, Mexico, Central America, South America, Cuba and Spain. We encourage our members to bring the Kingdom of God to the Market Place, reaching out to others and bringing the ministry of Jesus into their lives. Join us and be part of a destiny fulfilling ministry!
Beliefs
We believe the Bible is God-inspired
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from innocence and purity
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him
We believe that we have no righteousness and must come to God pleading the righteousness of Christ
We believe that upon sincere repentance, and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one
We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily, growing constantly in the faith
We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work (Matt. 28:19). We believe in the commemoration of the Lord's Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice of the vine
We believe that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power
