Warrensburg Fire Department is a full-service department comprised of 24 full-time, and 24 part-time members. We also house 6 university students for our Student Resident program. Our services include fire, rescue, high-angle rescue, confined space rescue, emergency medical services, and a dive team. We staff two stations with an engine, on three separate shifts. Our shifts rotate on the 24/48 schedule.
Our rescue, and dive team service an area of 600 square miles or the eastern two-thirds of Johnson county Missouri. The run area for our fire apparatus is only includes the city of Warrensburg-a city with the population of 16, 480 people. Our department response area is unique because our population rises by approximately 11, 000 people in the Fall and Spring with the beginning of classes at the University of Central Missouri. Our call volume for 2000 was approximately 2500.
