Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Greater Waunakee/Westport Chamber of Commerce is to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Waunakee and Westport WI area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.

All necessary means of promotions shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, industrial and educational interests of the area.

  -Maintain an office with friendly, professional staff that provide helpful information to the community and for all those who visit Waunakee and who are devoted to the civic, commercial, and industrial concerns of our area.
   -Answer the hundreds of questions about our community made in person at the Chamber office in the Depot, by mail, website, and by telephone.
   -Speak up for business with government leaders regarding proposed and existing laws and regulations impacting businesses.
   -Coordinate the time and talents of local business people, our community leaders, school officials, and young people in addressing issues such as planning, housing, taxes, economic development, education and growth.
   -Stand ready to pursue matters that can make our area a better place to live and make a living.

About US:
Chambers across the United States are voluntary agencies organized to serve the business community and all the activities and events surrounding its members. The Chamber is a private, non-profit, taxpaying entity. It invites all types of businesses, individuals, and professionals to become part of a strong, central body with a common goal of improving business and providing opportunities for growth within the community.

Our Chamber membership is made up of people primarily concerned with enhancing the quality of life through dedicated community service. Our members have joined forces to build a strong central core of business owners and workers united in their efforts to accomplish goals set forth by our Chamber Board of Directors.

Typical goals include increasing business growth and job development, building a healthy marketplace for economic development, downtown revitalization, business and industrial park growth, and endorsing the free enterprise system by encouraging competition and fair play.
