The grand re-opening of the Waxhaw Branch Library was in November, 2002. The renovation and expansion of the existing Waxhaw Branch included the addition of a meeting room, toddler area and much needed restrooms.

The Waxhaw Branch Library has over 17,000 items, including books, DVDs, videos, books on tape and CD, young adult books, genealogy, CDs, CD-ROMs, magazines, newspapers and more. There are seven computers for adults and two computers for children, in addition to two online public access computers.

The Waxhaw Branch Library serves Waxhaw, Mineral Springs and the southwest region of the county.
