PBIS is an approach in behavior management on a school-wide level. Children are encouraged to be mindful of their behavior in specific settings such as on the bus, in the hallways and bathrooms, in classrooms, the cafeteria, at recess and assemblies. PBIS is teaching children to be safe, respectful and responsible throughout the school day. Children are given Cub Bucks for their positive behavior which they can use to purchase items of their choice at the Cub Store. PBIS methods are researched-based and have been proven to increase academic performance.
