The congregation of the West Hempfield Presbyterian Church is warm and friendly and is theologically the middle of the road and conservative. It is a congregation very open to new ideas and to the organization of new programs for groups of all ages. The church is a creative, innovative and energizing place in which to work.

It is our desire to hire a replacement for our Director of Youth Ministry and Education to continue in our ministry and growth since she will be leaving us soon relocating to another state.
The West Hempfield Presbyterian Church provides a wealth of opportunities and challenges for a Director of youth Ministry and Education. Foremost among the opportunities is the chance to work with a young church family that is energetic and supportive of new ideas. The facilities of the church are also outstanding, with plenty of room and equipment for recreation as well as numerous and spacious classrooms. The chance to work with the Reverend Dr. Simpson, a man with valuable experience in youth ministry and one who will support and help the Director of Youth Ministry and Education is also a big plus. The prospective Director of Youth Ministry and Education can utilize these factors and many others to build a fulfilling and productive youth ministry.
The challenges facing this individual can also be seen as opportunities to affect great change in the life of this church. The most important challenge will be the development of personal relationships. It is through this unity with the church family that growth will be realized.
