Welcome to Weston Elementary School. I hope you enjoy visiting the various pages of our web site. They should give you a good perspective of the school. The faculty and staff take pride in working to meet the individual needs of the students as they come to us. We work to make the school an intentionally inviting environment. We believe that students come to school with a desire to learn and that it is our responsibility to meet their needs. We have a diversified faculty that ranges in experience from first year teachers to teachers with more than thirty years of experience.
The building was named after the subdivision, Weston Village, it borders and was designed with streets named after United States Presidents in concentric circles. We have approximately 470 students in grades K - 5 and two self-contained special education class in twenty-one classrooms. We also have additional classrooms for specialized programs such as art, music and physical education in addition to many support programs.
Our building was most recently renovated in 1997. This was the third renovation to the original building, which was built in 1953. The other renovations took place in 1981 and 1972. In addition to adding rooms and building walls in an area previously designed with an open architecture, the heating plant was replaced and the entire building air-conditioned.
