The mission of the Westville Fire Department is to provide a professional level of community fire protection, emergency medical and rescue services to the citizens and property owners within the Borough of Westville, in order to prevent or minimize the loss of life, pain and suffering and property damage as a result of fire or other type of emergency.
The Fire Department's mission will be accomplished by the effective use of it's volunteer, career, and physical resources, in cooperation with other public agencies, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, innovative techniques, and available technology to provide a high level of cost efficient, quality service
The Westville Fire Department serves the Borough Of Westville in Gloucester County, New Jersey along the Delaware River across from the City of Philadelphia. The departments operates out of 1 Station with 1 Class "A" Engine Company, 1 Ladder Company, 1 Heavy Rescue Company, 1 B.L.S Squad, 1 Special Operations Trailer, 2 Command Vehicles, 2 Marine Units and 1 Fire Boat. 40 volunteer firefighters, 2 career firefighters, including a Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Official make up the department.
The department operates with a Board of Fire Commissioners which provide funding through taxation to serve and protect the community. The borough of Westville consists residential, commercial, and industrial areas with 4(four) major roadways, 1(one) major rail line, and a major shipping line in the borough.
Along with protecting those who reside, work, and travel in the borough of Westville. The department also covers the New Jersey Turnpike between Exits 2 through 3 along with serving numerous communities
