About Us.

Whispering Pines  was started in January 1980 by Dean and Joyce (Penton) Schnoor after Dean retired from the  U.S. Army. They attended the organizational meeting of the Florida Christmas Tree Association held at the Forestry School, University of Florida  and planted their first Christmas trees in January.

After growing Christmas trees for 31 years, Dean and Joyce  retired. The Whispering Pines Staff (Mike & Erica and Family) plan to  hav continue the Family Tradition of providing trees to our customers for generations to come.
